4-10 Our Deep Desire for Love and Our Deep Resistance to Love: The Way We Actually Wrestle with God

At the Last Supper, when Jesus attempts to wash Peter’s feet, Peter is very resistant, even while more than anything else that is what Peter yearned for.  Why the resistance?  Why are we forever fighting love?  What are the ways in which we unconsciously fight love?  What is the path to surrender and how do we finally let go and let love give us its blessing?  And at what cost?  Accepting that we are loved is the journey of a lifetime.
