8-06 Rebuilding After Devastation: Haggai, Zechariah, and Facing the Future
Daniel Smith-Christopher, PhD
The watershed event of Old Testament history was the exile (587 BCE)...a devastating disaster that changed Judean history - and the Bible - forever. In this session we will look at the fascinating role of two 'post-exilic' prophets - Haggai and Zechariah - as critical voices in the attempts to rebuild after those devastating events...and how they may give us insights about our own "rebuilding"!
