Bishop Jose Arturo Cepeda Escobedo

Bishop Arturo Cepeda, STL, STD, is originally from San Luis Potosí, S.L.P., Mexico and was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Detroit, Michigan on May 5, 2011. In 2013, he was honored with the "American Bible Society Christian Leadership Award" which is presented to a church leader that exemplifies great leadership skills. Bishop Cepeda formerly served as national vice-president of the V Encuentro, and currently serves as Chair of the Committee on Cultural Diversity in the Church and member of the Ad Hoc Committee Against Racism.
