Coordinator of Elementary Catechesis in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles
Douglas was born in Nicaragua and he has lived in the USA since 1989. He graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles as a graphic designer. In 2016 he graduated from St. John's Seminary in Camarillo with a MA degree in Pastoral Ministry. Douglas is a Master Catechist for the archdiocese of Los Angeles and has many years of experience in the formation of catechists in both English & Spanish. He was Coordinator of Religious Education at Holy Rosary Parish in Sun Valley, where he is also a member of a small Christian faith community and is currently a choir director. Previous experience includes ministry work as catechist of children and adults, leader of parent/children sacramental preparation retreats, as well as catechist formation in both basic and advanced levels in the archdiocese. Douglas is currently serving as the Coordinator of Elementary Catechesis for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
