Jayne Ragasa-Mondoy serves as director of Faith Formation for the Diocese of Honolulu. Her responsibilities include curriculum development, oversight of catechesis and evangelization processes, and the formation of catechetical leaders across state of Hawaii’s six major islands. While Jayne’s approach to catechist formation has been shaped by her roles as high school teacher/administrator, and parish/diocesan catechetical leader, she considers her vocation – God’s call – to be a faithful missionary disciple to be her role “par excellence.”Jayne is author of “Cultivating Your Catechists: How to Recruit, Encourage, and Retain Successful Catechists” (Loyola Press, 2017) and “Planning for Restored Order” (Twenty-Third Publications, 2021.) She is a national speaker and contributor to, “The Catechist Journey” blog hosted by Loyola Press. She is a member of the advisory committee for the USCCB Subcommittee on Asian and Pacific Island Affairs and member of the USCCB curriculum and resource development team for the national Eucharistic Revival initiative.
