You will be considered to serve as lectors, storytellers, narrators,
general session hosts, or other speaking roles needed during Youth Day. Youth serving
in these roles must be confident speaking in front of large crowds and be able to carry
an appropriate stage presence.
You will introduce the speaker(s) for one or two workshops, and lead a short prayer at the beginning of the workshop. Youth serving in this role should be comfortable speaking in front of a group of people.
You will serve during the Eucharistic Liturgy as a cross- bearer, candle-bearer, gift bearer, altar server, or other assisting role to support our
ritual worship. This role does not require public speaking and may work closely with
clergy.
You will help to lead the assembly in gesture and
prayer through liturgical movement, ritual gestures, and/or sign language. Previous
movement/dance experience is useful, but NOT required.
Singers, instrumentalists, and others who have a passion for performing musicwill help lead music for our Liturgy as part of the Archdiocesan Youth Choir. Instrumentalists and soloists must go through an audition process.
You will help to capture content including photos, videos, and usable
quotes that could be shared on the Youth Day social media channels.
You will help get the crowd pumped up during Youth Day with
chants, signs, and cheers in various locations in and around the Convention Center. You
will help promote the Youth Day theme and direct attention to social media. Youth
serving in this role should be outgoing and enjoy interacting with others.
